WHat is Active
Travel?
Active travel gets children moving every day. Active travel involves walking, cycling, scooting or other active ways of getting to or from school, for the whole journey or as part of the journey along with other travel modes, such as public transport.
Our Aim
Active kids are
The aim of the Wyndham Vale Active Travel Arts Project is to increase knowledge and understanding about what active travel is and how the school community and environment can encourage kids and parents/carers to actively travel to school.
Healthy, Happy
and resilient kids
Mrs Palmer (Visual Arts Teacher) teamed up with Wyndham Council and IPC Health to boost our students' creative voyage. Together, our students dug deep into design, sculpting, animation, and digital art. Some even got the chance to unleash their podcasting skills. With teamwork as their secret weapon, they've mastered their craft and are ready to unleash their talents to the world!
Stage 1
Diane, from the Wyndham Council, dropped by to share some wisdom on active travel with our eager students. Together, they whipped up a rockin' map that pinpoints where to show off their bright ideas and encourage fellow classmates to embrace active travel. With a little teamwork, we'll soon be marching to the beat of our own active drum!
IPC Health has generously offered to pay to have footpath decals of a selection of students’ work made and installed

Stage 2
Get ready for some sculpting fun! With the help of clay connoisseur Karen from IPC Health, students got down and dirty creating teeny-tiny clay figures that'll star in their next animated adventure.

Drumroll, please! The bike shed just got a whole lot cooler! Thanks to IPC Health's awesome generosity, we've printed a selection of grade 6 Procreate designs onto mesh and installed them for all to see! Our student squad sifted through countless entries and cherry-picked the best ones, creating a masterpiece of collaborative art. It's like a kaleidoscope of creativity, ready to blow your mind!
